Rain and snowfall likely in Kashmir, night temperature above normal

Srinagar, December 29:
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a forecast of rain and snowfall once again in Kashmir. The night temperature in the valley was above the season’s average on Sunday night.
An official of the Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of moderate snowfall in Kashmir on Tuesday. Also, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy on Wednesday and Thursday with chances of rain or snow in higher areas.
Srinagar city recorded a minimum temperature of 0.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday night, 3.4 notches above the season’s average.

Pahalgam, a tourist destination in south Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 1.8 degrees Celsius, 3.4 degrees above the season’s average. Qazigund, the gateway to Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of minus degrees Celsius.
