Jammu, August 12:
With an aim to promote religious tourism and convenience to passengers, the Railway Board has approved the extension of Train No. 19223/19224 Sabarmati-Jammu Tawi Express up to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. The train will reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra via Jammu with stoppage at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Station.
This extension will bring great relief to thousands of devotees and common travellers from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Western India. Till now, passengers coming from these areas had to get down at Jammu Tawi station and go to Katra by bus or other means. After the implementation of the new system, passengers will not have to worry about changing trains in between, unloading and additional expenses. Travel will now become more smooth, comfortable and time-saving.
Passengers will be informed separately as soon as the date of commencement of extended service of train No. 19223/19224 is fixed. Railway Administration requests passengers to contact IRCTC website, Mobile App or Station Enquiry Centre for reservation and updated status of train. Jammu Division is constantly striving to provide safe, economical and smooth train services to the passengers.
