Preparation for winter operation, search continues on Pakistani terrorist hideouts, 40 areas searched in three days

Jammu, November 29:

The security forces have prepared for winter operations against the terrorists hiding in the hilly areas of Kathua. The operation has been launched to eliminate every possibility of local help to these terrorists during the winter season.

Police has searched more than 40 locations in the last three days. Searches and interrogations are also being conducted at the houses and relatives of some terrorists sitting in Pakistan. Police claims that inputs are being received continuously and the operation will begin soon. SSP Kathua Shobhit Saxena said that 40 locations have been searched within the last two-three days.

A lot of mobile phones have been confiscated. Their technical investigation is being done. It is being investigated whether the terrorist module is being given any kind of help in the form of accommodation, food etc. The people detained for interrogation are also being investigated for their involvement in helping the terrorists. The SSP said that the security forces are constantly getting inputs on which work is going on actively.

Our soldiers are alert, Army, SOG, CRPF are running joint operations in the hilly areas. The operation will be started soon. He said that nine to ten people who have become terrorists in Pakistan have been identified. Searches are being conducted at their places too, so that leads or contacts can be found. In this context, some people have been taken into custody and are being questioned. He said that the objective is that any kind of terrorist network should not get local help.
