On Friday evening, 5-year-old Rizwan Ahmed son of Maqbool Ahmad was badly injured after being hit by a suspicious explosion outside a house in the Tuglu area of the Indo-Pak border area in Poonch district.
He was admitted to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital in the city for treatment. After giving first aid, the seriously injured child was sent to the GMC for better treatment.
The family members of the injured said that the child was playing near the house. We suddenly came out after hearing the sound of a loud explosion. Then we saw that the child was badly injured and suffering, which we immediately brought to the hospital.
The doctors gave first aid to the child and referred him to Jammu for better treatment. The family said that the top officials came to know about the well-being of our child, who assured us of all possible help. After the suspected blast, the security agencies reached the spot and took stock and started further investigation. At the same time, there has been an atmosphere of tension in the area after the blast.
