Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a historic speech in Sonamarg, in which he told about the efforts made by the central government for the development of the state. Prime Minister said that the progress of Jammu and Kashmir is necessary for the progress of the country. For this the workers have struggled hard, and praised their hard work and sacrifice.
Prime Minister Modi expressed happiness over the inauguration of Sonamarg Tunnel and called it a historic moment for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. He said that this tunnel will not only improve connectivity. But will also improve the lifestyle of the people of the region. He also said that earlier the roads used to get closed due to landslides. Which caused difficulty in supplying essential goods but now this problem will be reduced.
Prime Minister Modi said in his resolve to make India developed by 2047 that every part of the country, every family, will progress in development. Jammu and Kashmir will also play an important role in its development. He also said that in the last 10 years, many important changes have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prime Minister mentioned the infrastructure development work going on in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that we are working on several projects of road, rail and tunnel connectivity in the state. Some of these projects like Sonamarg Tunnel and Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project will make Jammu and Kashmir one of the most connected states in the country.
