Leh: LG directs to take stringent measures to deal with emerging terror modules, radicalization will be curbed

Leh, December 12:
Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta has stressed on the need for a robust and technology-based policing framework in view of the growing threat of white-collar terror modules.
The concluding session of the two-day State-UT level conference on dissemination and implementation of the recommendations of the DGP IGP Conference organized by Ladakh Police at CIBS Auditorium Hall, Choglamsar.

He said, the white-collar terror module is an emerging security challenge which requires advanced intelligence, monitoring of financial transactions, cyber vigilance and smooth coordination between agencies.
He stressed the urgent need for modern investigative methodologies, advanced training, and data-driven decision-making. The Lt Governor also expressed concern over the challenge of increasing radicalisation and urged the police to give priority to community engagement, awareness campaigns, outreach to educational institutions and early intervention measures. The Lt Governor expressed confidence that the Ladakh Police would evolve into a modern, accountable and citizen-centric force and become a role model for the country.
