Jammu, December 23:
Crime Branch Jammu charge-sheeted Tehsildar Roshan Lal (the then Patwari) & Tehsildar Jai Kumar Sharma (Retd), the then Girdawar Qanoongo along with five others for manipulating revenue records on the complaint of a villager Joginder Singh S/o Khakhru R/o Kote, Tehsil and District Jammu. Police Station Crime Branch Jammu lodged an FIR U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B/RPC 5(2) P.C Act after thorough preliminary verification had substantiated the allegations. During the course of investigation allegations were proved against the accused revenue officers which was also substantiated by forensic tests. The conspiracy was hatched along with 1) Parma Nand (now expired) S/O Agya Ram 2) Ramesh Chander S/O Daulat Ram 3) Rakesh Kumar @ Bittu S/O Shanker Dass (4) Bihari Lal S/O Shanker Dass 5) BalKrishen @ Phumani S/O Shanker Dass (all resident of Kote tehsil and district Jammu) to manipulate the revenue records of 34 Kanals of land at Kot-Bhalwal in order to grab the prime piece of land and debar the complainant and his poor family from their rightful possession of the result of Land Reforms Act in terms of Girdawari of 1971.
The charge-sheet has been produced against all the six accused in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu on 23-12-2019.
Another case FIR No. 18/2005 U/S 147, 447/RPC P/S Gharota was registered by accused party in Police Station Gharota Jammu to restrain the entry of rightful claimant into land. Court has decided in favour of Joginder Singh.
