Doda, August 14:
The encounter between security forces and terrorists is still going on in Assar area of Doda. Four terrorists are reported to have been killed in this encounter. At the same time, a captain of 48 National Rifles of the Indian Army has been martyred. Blood stains were found in the area, after which the security forces launched an operation. Security forces have recovered M4 rifles. Apart from this, ammunition and logistics material have also been recovered. Along with this, three bags have also been seized.
ADGP Jammu of Jammu and Kashmir Anand Jain visited Doda today wherein Army and Police have launched a search operation. Security forces have killed a terrorist in the Doda encounter.
An army officer was injured while leading the search team in the encounter. After which he was brought to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Martyr Captain Deepak is from 48 National Rifle.
Official sources said that Captain Deepak led from the front and continued to direct his men to kill the terrorists. He was shot in the encounter. An official said that the terrorists are hiding near a river in Assar.
