Srinagar, February 20:
The government has suspended Bandipora Chief Education Officer (CEO) Balbir Kumar till the completion of an inquiry into his alleged behaviour.
According to Government Order No. 79-JK (Edu) issued by the Department of School Education on 20th February 2026.
As per order, the CEO Balbir Kumar has been suspended with immediate effect.
He was suspended under Rule 31 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The order said that the officer concerned will remain attached to the office of the DSE Kashmir.
The order also clarifies that this action will remain in effect pending the investigation process.
