Jammu, February 13:
Amid speculation over the reopening of tourist places in J&K, the government on Friday made a big statement in the Assembly.
The government on Friday told the Assembly that the reopening of tourist destinations Dudhpathri and Ushmerg is dependent on security reasons.
The govt added that the matter has been taken up with Deputy Commissioner Budgam for appropriate action.
In response to a question from MLA Budgam, Agha Syed Muntazir Mehdi.
The government said that the matter has already been taken up before DC Budgam for appropriate action.
The government said that the recent incidents in the tourism sector have adversely affected the tourist flow.
The department has taken promotional campaigns, infrastructure upgradation and confidence-building measures.
It states that several promotional events and themed festivals have been organized across the country and UT.
