Srinagar, August 13:
NC president Farooq Abdullah on Thursday questioned the situation in the alleged threat to Kashmiri Pandits ahead of Independence Day.
He demanded an inquiry into its source. He asked the Union Home Ministry to review the matter.
Speaking to reporters, Abdullah said the security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir are under the Lieutenant Governor. He questioned why the authorities have not yet figured out who made the threat and where it came from.
Abdullah reacted to the threat news by saying, “Here is something wrong” (he used the phrase “there is something black in the lentils”).
He said the circumstances surrounding the threat should be investigated.
The person or group responsible for it should be identified.
