Jammu, February 26:
A 20-year-old youth has been found dead under suspicious circumstances in the Mendhar area of Poonch district. After the incident, there has been a wave of mourning in the area. According to officials, the young man was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his house late on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Wajid Ali (20), son of Mohammad Riaz, resident of village Banola Tehsil Mendhar. He is said to be a student of class 11. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot along with police station in-charge Habib Pathan and took the body into custody and took it to the hospital, where after completing the necessary medical and legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for last rites.
The police have registered a case and started investigating to ascertain the cause of the incident.
