Srinagar, November 29:
The night temperature in Kashmir has increased, due to which the valley remained cloudy. According to the Meteorological Department, a weak western disturbance will affect Jammu and Kashmir from Friday. This may lead to rain in the plains and light snowfall in the upper areas of the valley.
Meteorological department officials said that night temperatures increased in Kashmir Valley. But most places remained below zero. Srinagar recorded a night temperature of -1 degree Celsius, up from -2.1 degree Celsius the previous night. The Meteorological Department said that the effect of western disturbance will be in Jammu and Kashmir from Friday evening. Due to this, light rain or snowfall may occur in the upper areas of the valley from Friday evening to Saturday morning.
On December 1, the weather will be partly cloudy and light rain/snowfall is expected in the upper reaches of the valley. Light rain or snowfall is expected in the upper reaches of the valley from December 2 to December 3. The weather will remain generally dry between December 4 and 7, after which light rain or snowfall may occur again in the upper reaches of the valley from December 8, the weather department said.
