After yesterday’s uproar, regular proceedings were held in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Thursday.
MLAs raising issues of public interest related to their respective areas.
The government on Thursday informed the Assembly that more than Rs 7,647 lakh has been spent on promoting tourism in the J&K during the financial years 2024-25 and 2025-26.
Replying to a question from MLA Yudhveer Sethi.
The Tourism Department said that Rs 1,619.73 lakh was spent in 2024-25 in Jammu division. While Rs 1,281.55 lakh has been spent so far in 2025-26.
In the Kashmir division, the department spent Rs 1,400.16 lakh during 2024-25 and Rs 1,346.20 lakh in the current financial year till January 2026.
The government said that several initiatives have been taken to restore the confidence of passengers.
These include vigorous digital marketing, social media campaigns and publicity through print and electronic media.
