NCC conducts various camps regularly to train NCC cadets. There are some important camps in which some luckiest cadets get a chance to attend. Para Basic Course is one such camp among various camps. In this camp, 20 girls and 20 boys are selected from all over India. This time JK&L Directorate was allotted two vacancies. For those two vacancies, two NCC cadets of GDC Kishtwar namely Ashwani Kumar S/O Prem Nath and Simran Thakur D/O Sher Singh Thakur have been selected for Para Basic Course 2023 at Agra (UP). This time the course will be started from 1st November to 25th November, 2023. Dr. Jyoti Parihar, the Principal of GDC Kishtwar highly appreciated the cadets for their achievement. She also highlighted that this will encourage other cadets to work hard and bring more such honors to the college
