Holds public grievance redressal camp

Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir while asserting that public service is the core of party’s ideology has reiterated the commitment of Bharatiya Janata Party Govt to provide tap water to every household till 2024 under its prestigious ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ project.
In a statement issued to mercury times, he expressed this while addressing a grievance redressal camp at Pt Prem Nath Bhawan, Kacchi Chawni held here today. Parveen Kerni East Mandal, Ajay Sharma Mandal President Na, Sham Singh Naib Sarpanch , Babbu, Abdul Mohd Choudhary Ragoora, Abdul Hussain Booth President Bajalta, Attar Hussain, Yousof Don and Vipin Sharma General Secretary East Mandal were also present.
People of different areas attended the grievance redressal camp in which they raised their issues and problems.
The delegation of people from Aithem brought to the notice of Yudhvir Sethi the severe shortage of drinking water supply in their area besides other pressing issues like that of difficulties faced by them in getting new Ration Cards issued by the department, etc. They said that the shortage of drinking water supply requires immediate redressal as it is the lifeline for one’s survival.
They said that the concerned FCS&CA Department authorized to issue ration cards is not issuing new ration cards is not issuing the same due to the reasons best known to the authorities. They sought the intervention of the senior BJP leader to get their pressing issues resolved at the earliest.
Yudhvir Sethi after giving the delegation a keen and patient hearing asserted that very soon the water problem will be resolved once for all as the works are being executed under the Jal Jeevan Mission. He said that the BJP Govt is fully committed to provide tap water to each and every household till 2024 under the central Govt’s prestigious scheme i.e. ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’. He said that he would ask the PHE authorities to ensure drinking water supply to the acute shortage areas through tankers till the situation improves.
Taking serious note of the ration card issue, Yudhvir Sethi asked the FCS&CA Department to simplify the procedure of issuing new ration cards so that general public would be able to get the benefit of central government scheme under which PM Modi has announced free ration for general public. He said that the free ration scheme has been extended at a cost of over Rs. 44,700 crore. Under the scheme 5 kgs of wheat and rice will be provided free of cost to 80 crore poor people every month. He said that this scheme scheduled to end on Friday, will now continue till 31st December 2022.
Sethi asked the BJP cadre to remain present in public 24X7 in order to address their minor as well as complex issues as public service is the core of Party’s ideology.
