Jammu, February 7:
J&K BJP Vice President, Yudhvir Sethi along with Corporator Ward 17, Nidhi Magotra today kick-started the development work of a Nallah with an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh.
On the occasion, Priya Sethi, senior BJP leader & Former Minister; Mandal President Raveesh Mengi; Ex. Councillor Balwan Singh, Mandal Vice-President Onkar Singh, Mandal General Secretary Sanjay Bhat, Vijay Sharma and Booth President Mohammad Farooq were also present.
In a statement issued to mercury times, while addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said that the central dispensation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to overall development of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by giving equal stress on both rural as well as urban areas.
He said that moving ahead with the agenda of overall development of every nook and corner across the nation the party cadre is contributing in this direction at the grass roots level to augment the movement started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government to transform the canvass of the world’s largest democracy.
Sethi also lauded the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for leaving no stone unturned in carrying forward the priority schemes and projects launched by the Centre from time to time.
He said it is the result of synchronized efforts of the Union Govt and the UT Administration that Jammu and Kashmir is today witnessing unprecedented number of developmental projects on ground and that too being carried out at unprecedented pace.
Yudhvir Sethi assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir that the pace of development will continue in the Union Territory under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
Priya Sethi appreciated the efforts of Corporator Nidhi for taking keen interest in addressing issues of general public.
She hoped that the Corporator will continue the spree of development for the welafer of common masses.
She said BJP believes in the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas and also appealed to the people of the area to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is working day and night for taking country to the new height.
Corporator Nidhi Magotra, said that she is duty bound to serve the people of Ward 17 and her doors are always open for the general public.
She said that several development works are in pipeline and will be taken up in a phased manner.
