Like other parts of the state, the unlock process has started in Jammu district from Monday. All non-essential activities have also been allowed by the district administration from 7 am today, but some restrictions have been imposed for this.
While shops have been allowed to open from 7 am to 8 pm in the entire state, in Jammu district, all economic activities have been allowed only till 5 pm. Like other districts, there will be a weekend lockdown in Jammu from 8 pm on Friday to 7 am on Monday. Corona curfew will be applicable from 8 pm every day.
Following the guidelines issued by the State Disaster Management Department regarding the unlocking process, Jammu Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg issued an order late last night regarding the permission for economic activities. The district administration has divided all the shops into two parts and one category of shops has been allowed to open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the second category shops will be open only on Tuesday and Thursday.
In the guidelines issued at the state level, although indoor shopping malls have been allowed to open with 25 percent capacity, the district administration has not taken any decision on this. The order states that after discussing with these shopping malls management, a decision will be taken on opening them.
These activities will be allowed throughout the week
- -Way Shops, Testing Laboratory, Clinics & Eyeglass Shops-Petrol & LPG Agencies
- – Shops selling agricultural activities and agricultural implements and manure etc. – Shops selling animal feed
- -Bank & ATM-Print & Electronic Media
- Home delivery of e-commerce and essential items
- – Restaurants within hotels – All industrial activities
- -All development works and mining
- -Covid-19 Vaccination Center
- All dhabas on the National Highway outside the area of ​​Jammu Municipal Corporation
- – Supply of inter-state and inter-district essential goods
- These shops will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (wholesale and retail)
- -Kirana, Departmental Store, Confectionery Shops
- -Electric and electronic shops, IT and computer shops
- -Automobile showrooms & workshops, service stations, bicycle shops
- -Spare Parts & Toy Shops -Barber Shops, Salons, Parlors
- -Wine Shops-Hardware, Cement, Building Material, Sanitary & Glass House
- These shops will be open on Tuesday and Thursday (small and retail)
- Clothing and readymade, shoe shops and home decor accessories shops
- -Cosmetic, Tailor Shops & Boutiques-Jewelery Shop & Showroom, Furniture Showroom & Stores
- -Gift Shop, Pooja Shops, Utensils & Crockery Shops
- Book shops, typing and printing shops and photostat shops
