Jammu, April 8:
The uproar over the Wakf law continues in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly for the second day on Tuesday. BJP MLAs have opposed the proposal of the National Conference. The NC MLAs are adamant on the demand for a discussion on the Wakf law.
On the second day, the proceedings of the House began amidst uproar. During this, there was a heated argument between NC and People’s Conference. There was also a debate between NC and PDP MLAs. NC MLAs are adamant on the demand for a debate in the Assembly on the Waqf Act.
The first day of the second phase of the budget session was marred by uproar. As soon as the question hour began. Tanveer Sadiq, Congress, PDP and independent MLAs from the ruling party demanded an adjournment motion for a debate on the Wakf law. This was rejected by Speaker Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather.
