Poonch, July 30:
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in a village in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir (Jammu Kashmir News) soon after receiving information about the movement of two suspected terrorists late Monday night.
Officials gave this information on Tuesday. They said that two armed suspects in black clothes were seen in Salampura village near Dehra street. As soon as the information was received, the police launched a joint operation with the help of National Rifles and CRPF.
Poonch SSP Jugal Manhas said that the Indian Army’s Romeo Force and SOG Poonch Police conducted a joint operation. During this joint operation, a terrorist associate, a resident of Gurez, was arrested with arms and ammunition in Manganar village. A consignment of arms and ammunition was recovered from the arrested accused.
At the same time, the suspected terrorists were seen going towards the lower Pangai. However, no clue has been found about the suspected terrorists so far. In such a situation, keeping the security system in mind, the search operation has been continued.
