Three new Panchayat houses will be built in Kathua at a cost of 90 lakhs

Jammu, October 4:

For rural development purpose, three panchayat ghars will be constructed in Block Kathua at a total cost of Rs 90 lakh. This step has been taken for the development of Chak Nupa, Janglot-East. And Janglot-West panchayats, where Rs 30 lakh has been allocated for each panchayat ghar.

Under this project, the required amount has already been provided to the concerned department through Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. After Panchayat delimitation, the facility of Panchayat Ghar was not available for the new Panchayats, as a result of which the Rural Development Department recommended the construction of new Panchayat Ghar for these three Panchayats. This recommendation has now been approved.

Block Development Officer, Sanskriti Kaul said, the process of construction of new Panchayat Ghar for three Panchayats has been started. A letter has been written to the Revenue Department requesting them to provide land. As soon as the land allocation process is completed, we will start the tender process and begin the construction work. This construction will bring many benefits to the villagers.
