National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and party vice president Omar Abdullah cast their votes in Srinagar amid tight security arrangements. Omar Abdullah’s two sons Zaheer and Zameer also voted. It is being told that Zaheer and Zameer used their votes for the first time.
After voting, Farooq and Omar Abdullah appealed to the people of the valley to exercise their right to vote enthusiastically. Omar said, ‘We can raise our voice only through votes. He appealed to the youth and first-time voters to reach the polling stations and exercise their democratic right, so that their voice can translate into a decision.
