Jammu, April 21:
Hashkoor Ahmad, a resident of Ramban district got married on time, but he had to walk several kilometres to get married. Rains and landslides brought traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway to a halt. Forcing Hashkoor to traverse difficult roads to reach his bride’s village Neel Gangan.
Hashkur said that they left home at six in the morning. But due to the debris on the road and the bad condition of the roads, the car could not move. After the wedding, the bride and groom had to return home again by walking several kilometers.
Hashkur said, we are people from the hilly area, walking is not difficult for us. But the elderly and children who came with us were very troubled. He appealed to the administration to clear the roads as soon as possible because hundreds of people are still stranded on the highway.
