Four suspicious persons were seen near the railway track yard in Channi area of Kathua on Friday. Some women gave this information. Police and security forces have reached the spot and started a search operation and have cordoned off the entire area. More information is still awaited in this case. Kathua police is engaged in further investigation. They say that more information will be made available in this case soon.
On the other hand, today the security forces have launched a search operation in the houses of the associates of terrorists in various areas of Shopian district. This campaign is a part of the ongoing action against terrorists and their network. Sources say that the goal of this campaign is to find out the people involved in terrorist activities and take strict action against them. Security forces have raided many suspicious places and important documents and material have been recovered from many places.
Local administration and police officials say that this operation is extremely important to break the network of terrorists in Shopian district. Many more operations will be conducted to strengthen security in the area.
