Jammu, February 28:
Shurveer Jammu Sangathan on Monday took out massive Shiv Barat from Muthi Chowk, in connection with Maha Shivaratri celebration.
The Shiv Barat was largely attended by hundreds of devotees besides eminent religious, social, political and educationists.
It began from Muthi Chowk and passing through different areas, including Abhey School, Basakhi Coloney, Muthi Talab, Muthi Gaon, Ram Mandir, Chandan Vihar, Laxmi Nagar and then culminated at Muthi Chowk.
  SJS activists including Veer Singh (President SJS) & Arun Seekey (Gen. Secy. SJS) presided over the Shiv Barat among otherts, Raj Roop Singh (Ex Sarpanch), Rajan Gupta (President Sarv Dharm Samiti), Partap Singh Jamwal (Poltical Activist) also participated in the yatra.
 The main attraction of the Shiv Barat were Swarup of Lord Shiva, Panchamukhi Lingam and Shiv Rath. Colourful religious tableau of various god and goddesses were taken out.
Special arrangements were made for Langars and Bhajans throughout the way.
On the occasion SJS said that it was necessary to preserve the rich deity culture of the state so that the new generations are able to know about it.
It was a wonderful experience to meet the deities in this unique festival. It is a matter of pride for the all those who take part of this divine environment and divine communion.
Bhanu Partap Singh (President Legal Cell SJS), Anil Kumar Nikka, Ravi Kumar, Ankush Arjun Goria, Rahul Goria, Munna Thappa, Sandeep, Surjeet Kumar, Mukesh, Sunny Sadotra, Mohit were also participated.
