Jammu, June 29:
The first batch of pilgrims for the Shri Amarnath Yatra-2026 will leave for the holy cave shrine on the morning of July 2 amid tight security arrangements.
The convoy will depart with security convoys scheduled for both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes. The yatra will formally commence from July 3.
The administration, police, paramilitary forces and Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board have almost completed all preparations for the yatra.
Recently, the security agencies also successfully conducted a dry run of the convoy movement.
The administration has appealed to the pilgrims to reach the base camp on time, carry their registration documents and mandatory identity cards and follow all safety and traffic instructions issued during the journey. Security arrangements have been further strengthened during the yatra this year so that the pilgrims can travel safely and smoothly.
