Director of Urdu Language Development Council, Professor Sheikh Akeel Ahmed, while wishing all those who observe Chhath festival in the country, where not only in our country but also abroad, today the fast of Chhath Maiya is celebrated with great reverence. On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all the countrymen for the fasting of Chhath Maiya.
In a statement issued to mercury times, Professor Sheikh Akeel Ahmed said that I belong to such a holy land of Bihar, where since childhood I have been observing Chhath Maiya’s fast and tradition culture with great reverence to my society and the people of the state, as if it seems like this. Due to the festival, as if the Sun God himself is coming on earth and blessing our India, just as a fair is held on the festival of Chhath, as if nothing less than a Kumbh Mela, the people of our state, who keep fasting, wish this from Chhath Maiya. That happiness and prosperity should always prevail in our entire India, today our entire country including Bihar is flourishing with the blessings of Chhath Maiya and the country is progressing. My best wishes to the people of India living abroad on the occasion of Chhath festival.
