There is no news of relief in the weather in Jammu and Kashmir at the moment. According to the Meteorological Department, the series of bad weather in the state is likely to continue till July 31. Light to moderate rain may occur in many areas during this time with cloudy skies.

Talking about the Jammu region, heavy rains continue here as well. The Meteorological Department has informed about the possibility of similar rains in the coming days as well. It has been raining heavily in Jammu for a few consecutive days, due to which the rivers and streams here are flooded, in some places the water level is also reaching the danger mark. Due to the rains, the water level of the Tawi river has increased rapidly. The overflowing river has increased the possibility of flood-like situation in the coastal areas, while the bad weather has also affected normal life.

Police and district administration have issued safety advisories for people in view of the rising water level in Tawi, Chenab and Ujj rivers. People especially in the areas situated along the river have been asked to remain vigilant and stay in safe places. The administration appeals not to go near the Tawi river and other reservoirs.
