The latest case of fake gun licenses has come to light from Pune in Maharashtra. Some people from Rajouri Kalakot were caught with fake gun licenses. This is not the first case. Earlier also people from Jammu and Kashmir working in other states have been arrested. The secret of fake gun license cases is being revealed from other states. Police of Gujarat and Rajasthan have also exposed the cases. CBI is investigating 13 cases of fake licenses. Challan has also been filed in two cases. Despite this, this business is not stopping.
Sheikh Shakeel, senior advocate of the appellants in the fake gun license cases pending in the High Court, says that between 2012 and 2016, 1.75 lakh fake gun licenses have been made. Whenever these cases are exposed, they are suppressed in the state, because if this is not done, senior officers will get caught. How would a security guard working for 10 to 12 thousand rupees know that his license is fake. The real culprits are the people sitting in the DC office. There should be a high-level investigation into this.
