The present SDM Ramnagar and his son died in a road accident that took place late Friday evening in the Darmadi area of the district. It is said that the J&K Administrative officer was going to his ancestral home Thuru Pattiyan along with his wife, son, daughter and other relatives.
On the way, the debris and snow that came from the mountain caught them. He and his son (6 years) were seriously injured. All were brought to CHC Darmadi wherein Rajinder and his son were declared dead.
Other injured persons were sent to the district hospital.
Rajinder Singh was a JKS batch 2010 officer and had held other positions including the District Information Department Officer. He was a flute player and also used to sing songs to the tune of his flute.
