Jammu, April 14:
A 75-year-old woman was killed and 10 of her relatives were injured in a tragic road accident in Ramban district on Monday morning.
The mishap occurred when a mini load carrier vehicle fell into a gorge. Police said all the people belonged to the Bakarwal community from Teryath village in Rajouri district. Police said all were visiting Kashmir twice a year in search of better pastures for their cattle.
The accident took place around 4 pm near a railway bridge on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Banihal. An elderly woman, Phulla Begum (75 years), died in the accident, while seven men and three women were injured. After medical and rescue operations, all the injured were sent to the nearest hospital, where the condition of two is said to be critical.
