Jammu, October 13:
In a village in Rajouri district, an 18-year-old girl from an ordinary family was pushed into the swamp of drugs by her cousins.
Seeing her deteriorating condition day by day, the mother was distressed and came to know that her beloved had become addicted to drugs. The mother gathered courage and took the daughter to the de-addiction center of GMC Rajouri. Now she has come out of the swamp.
The story of this young woman is painful. Her father died of some illness about eight years ago. There are no real siblings. Only mother and daughter were left in the family. Life was hard and moments of relief were rare.
The financial condition was very bad, so the responsibility fell on the shoulders of the daughter. She started working as a labourer but the body was not strong enough to withstand its exhaustion.
