Jammu, October 8:
Today on 130th day of protest Shri Ravinder Raina JKBJP Chief reached the protesting employees of AJBRCEAK and assured the protesting employees of Jammu Division working in Kashmir that their demand for transfer policy is genuine and there is need of amendment in the Inter District Recruitment Policy as this policy is incomplete needs amendment and there should be a transfer rules with a fixed tenure be incorporated in the Inter District Recruitment Policy.
In a statement issued to mercury times, the employees welcome the statement of Ex- Minister of Jammu and Kashmir government who gave ray of hope to the employees when senior journalist asked him about the transfer policy for the Jammu Based Employees serving in Kashmir. He replied that committee framed for transfer policy has submitted its recommendations to government and government is committed to redress the long pending demand of these employees.
These employees requested LG Administration for redressal of their genuine demand of transfer policy. Since the LG Administration has framed a six members committee for transfer policy headed by Principal Secretary GAD to examine the transfer related issues and submit its report to government in a time bound manner.
Last year on 7th October 2021 teacher Deepak Chand Mehra from Jammu and Principal Supinder Kour were brutally killed by militants in a school in district Srinagar. The protesting employees paid floral tribute to these martyrs today at Ambedkar Chowk.
Some of the leading protestors like Vipen Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar, Ramesh Chand, Anjana Bala, Madhu Bala, Naresh Kumar NB, Yash Pal and Naresh Kumar Bhagat while talking to our correspondent said that they are eagerly waiting for tweet of Hon’ble LG saab to give them siege of relief and also waiting the prominent leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party with a good news at their protest site.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sh. Narinder Modi Ji always say that JAAN HAI TO JAHAN HAI. These employees act on words of their great Prime Minister and struggling at Ambedkar Chowk to save their lives to safeguard their fundamental right i.e. Right to life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India. Right to life is one of the most important rights that the Constitution guarantees. These employees are very confident and having full faith on central Government and L.G Administration that they will hear the” MANN KI BAAT ” of these employees and the suitable comprehensive transfer policy will come in force at an earliest.
They further added that some DDOs in Kashmir especially they talked about DDOs of Rural Development Department, Forest Department and health department who are forcing the employees to resume their duties and threatened strict action despite of continuous target killing of minorities and policemen. These DDOs have stopped the salaries of minority employees. AJBRCEAK demands strict action against such DDOs who are harassing these victimized minority employees.
Although the Right to Protest is not an explicit right under the Fundamental rights, it can be derived from the Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression under Article 19. These employees are struggling for last 130 days and demanding a suitable comprehensive transfer policy. The series of target killing has not been stopped in Kashmir so these employees are not in such a position to resume their duties and also warned the administration that they will not resume their duties until notification for transfer policy shall not come in existence in letter and spirit.
