Srinagar, May 3:
On Saturday, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah strongly condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam, appealed for unity against terrorism and expressed condolences to the victims. Speaking to ANI, Abdullah said, “Now the water is full, now terrorism has to be uprooted. Jammu and Kashmir has never supported Pakistan and will never do so.”
To those who have lost their loved ones, I want to say to the bride whose marriage was just six days old, to the child who saw his father soaked in blood, we also cried, we also did not eat. Such demons are still alive who kill people. They are not humans.
And they call themselves Muslims, I do not believe that they are Muslims. We stand with the families who have lost their loved ones due to terrorism. Every one will be punished. We have been watching this for the last 35 years, but they have not won and will never win.
Farooq Abdullah also criticized the Indus Water Treaty and demanded an end to cross-border violence. He said that no opinion was taken from the people of Jammu and Kashmir when this treaty was made.
Jammu and Kashmir has been affected the most by this treaty. We are not allowed to build power plants. We have to ask for a bucket of water.
