Nighat Mir demands for the Regularisation of govt employees

Srinagar, November 16:
Social activist Nighat Mir is calling for the urgent regularisation of government employees, urging authorities to take immediate action to ensure job stability and fair treatment for those serving in various capacities within the public sector.
In a statement released today, Mir highlighted the critical need for the regularisation of government employees, many of whom have been working on contractual or temporary bases for extended periods. “These dedicated individuals contribute significantly to the efficient functioning of our governmental systems. It is time we acknowledge their hard work and commitment by providing them the job security they deserve,” she stated.
Mir’s advocacy comes at a crucial time when many public sector employees face uncertainty regarding their employment status. The lack of regularisation not only impacts their livelihoods but also affects the overall efficiency and morale of public services. Regularisation would not only provide financial stability for these workers but would also enhance the quality of services rendered to the public.
The call for regularisation of government employees aligns with global best practices which emphasize the importance of job security in fostering a motivated and effective workforce. Nighat Mir urges the government to prioritise this matter and implement necessary policies to regularise these employees promptly.
“We cannot ignore the contributions of our government employees any longer. It is imperative that we act now to provide them with the regularisation they have rightfully earned,” added Mir.
