Music Festival Jashn-e-Mawar organized

Srinagar, September 22:
Naugam Brigade organised the cultural event Jashn-e-Mawer to promote the talent of youth.
The annual festival of the Mawar Valley known as Jashn-e-Mawar was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal at Lawoosa village. It was a beautiful showcase of music which define the daily life of the Awaam of Mawar valley.
The festival witnessed musical performances by Mr Waqar Khan and a *Talent Hunt* event for dance and singing activity by youth of Mawar valley.
The festival was aimed to highlight the spirit and culture of the locals of Mawar valley .
The event was graced by the presence of Khurshid Ahmad Dar, DDC member and Army Personnel of Mawer who gave away prizes to the young talented youth of Mawar valley..
The main attraction of the festival were various food stalls which catered to many delicacies and the musical performances to which the youth and children danced and enjoyed for hours.
The locals expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for organizing a memorable event.
The event also marked the starting of Auntum period. Many participants gave breath-taking performances in the Kashmir’s Talent Hunt and mesmerised the locals with their singing, cultural dance, folk music and mimicry.
The enthusiastic and overwhelming response by the local population, including the youth spread melody and harmony in mawer valley and highlighted the rapport between Jawan and Awaam .
DDC member mawer Khurshid Ahmad Dar said, “Kashmir is a heaven. If there is a piece of heaven that is sent on Earth it is Kashmir. Everything here is a dream land like poetry.”
“We have to encourage youth here who are enthusiastic and talented. In such cultural events, girls are given equal opportunities for which we all feel proud,” he said.
Thanking the Naugam Brigade, Dar said, “If there is happiness on our faces and if we are safe in our homes, it is only because of them who are fighting continuously for our security.”
Several civil dignitaries includes Principal AGS Naugam Principal Govt higher sec school Sanzipora headmaster UPS lawoosa social activist Mohd Ishaq war lawoosa DSP Handwara and SHO P/S Qalamabad inspector John Mohammad were also present on the occasion.
