Jammu, June 24:
Monsoon may arrive in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in early July. Although the monsoon is running a little late than normal, the weather will change with the rain. The weather will remain almost clear in the state from 24 to 28 June, which will lead to a rise in temperature.
With the change in weather from June 29, rain will fall from the sky in some parts. Meanwhile, on Monday, except for some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, the weather remained clear in most parts and the heat showed its effect. However, it rained in Poonch on Sunday.
In Jammu, the heat started showing its fierce form since morning. By noon, it was becoming difficult to even go out in direct sunlight. In Jammu, the day’s mercury rose by 3.4 degrees from normal to 41.0 and the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.3 degrees Celsius due to clear weather on Sunday. The maximum temperature in Banihal was 32.0, in Batote 29.8, in Katra 38.0 and in Bhaderwah 27.2 degrees Celsius. The weather remained clear in Kashmir as well. The maximum temperature in the capital Srinagar was 29.5 and minimum 15.7, in Pahalgam the maximum was 25.2 and minimum 9.6 and in Gulmarg the maximum temperature was 18.4 and minimum temperature was 7.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Leh was recorded at 5.0 degrees Celsius.
