On the eve of International women’s day, the well managed function was organised today at City Place Jammu by former Minister Priya Sethi in collaboration with American Oncology Institute (AOI) Jammu and Nyla which was attended by hundreds of women from the city area of Jammu.
American Oncology Institute (AOI) Jammu is South Asia’s leading chain of cancer hospits in collaboration with ASCOMS which is also the first in Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir . MP Jugal Kishore, Former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, BJP General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, BJP Distt President Vinay Gupta, Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma, President BJP Mahila Morcha Rajni Sethi, Corporators Anil Massom, Sumit Raina, Surinder Chowdhary, Neha Jamwal, Sunita Gupta, Suresh Jamwal, Mamata Singh, Sanjita Dogra, Rekha Mahjan, Veenu Khanna, Shailja Gupta,Savita Anand, Neeru Aannad, Saroj Gupta, Indu Gupta, Veena Mahajan and others were present on the occasion.
Former Dy.Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been at the forefront of raising awareness on gender equality and women empowerment. He added that India needs not just women development, but women-led development that makes women the leading force of our development.
He said that our Govt at Center is very serious towards health issues of women and as per recent statement more than 30 lakh women get PMJAY benefit, screened for cervical cancer under PM Modi’s flagship healthcare scheme.
BJP General Secretary J&K Yudhvir Sethi said that We have launched the world’s largest health insurance scheme Ayushman Bharat for ensuring quality universal health services for all and the imitative by Private hospitals are always welcome.
He added that India has adopted a multi-sectoral approach towards the health sector.
BJP leader Yudhvir asks people to take preventive measures against Corona Virus for which doctors present gave brief lecture too. Dr. Nadeem Shoket – Consultant Medical Oncology has delivered a talk on women cancer, its symptoms, timely diagnosis, and treatment.
While briefing on breast cancer in women Dr. Shoket also mentioned that Breast cancer is often thought of something that can happen only to women. It is, however, a rare but possible condition that breast cancer can also occur in men of young ages with or without a hereditary background of the disease in the family.
Mrs. Shakuntala Kartam- Nursing Superintendent of Hospital has addressed the public and educated them on self-examination of breast to ensure and timely diagnose any malignant growth in preliminary stage.
Former Minister Priya Sethi while thanking the audience said that he government is committed to empowering women and securing the future of children.
Poshan maah (month) for ensuring a nutritious India, stringent POCSO law, freedom from triple divorce for women, 8 crore Ujjwala beneficiaries, decisions like sanitary pad in Re 1 show commitment by our government to the protection of woman power and securing the future children of the country, she added. She further said that “Nyla” will be an all-encompassing resource to know, diagnose and treat Cancers in women the right way. NYLA will extend all the benefits of DMCH Cancer care center in collaboration with AOI’s American pedigree of cancer excellence – expertise, technology and committed care- to women and partner them in their fight against cancer by early detection of cancer, for a cancer free tomorrow”.
In the function Dr Nadem Showkat, Ashtosh Gupta, Mrs Shukantla Kartam and Sanjay Vohra were facilitated for their involvement in talk show.
