Mission Director, Dairy Development JK Er Narinder Singh Bali designated Visiting Officer for Municipal Committee Handwara on Monday participated in the My Town My Pride function at Town Hall Handwara.
Chairman Municipal Committee Handwara, Masroor Ah Banday, DDC Rajwar Mir Sulaiman,SP Handwara Sheema Nabi Qasba, EO MC Handwara Farooq Ahmad, Vice President MC Handwara Bashir Ah Khan, Tehsildar Handwara Shahbaz Ahmad and other concerned officers attended the function.
Addressing the function, the Mission Director, Dairy Development JK said that the ambitious programme ‘My Town My Pride’ has been launched to address the issues of the people living in the towns, like back to village 4 was held for rural people. He said during MTMP programme, officers gave detailed awareness about the government schemes to the people living in towns.
He inspected the Stalls established by various departments and interacted with the stall holders.
The Mission Director, Dairy Development JK kick started plantation drive by planting some plants in the premises of Chinar Park Handwara with Chairman MC Handwara & DFO Social Forestry Kupwara Dr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and other officers.
The Mission Director, Dairy Development JK distributed Soil Health Cards among the beneficiaries.
A cultural & Sports programme was also held at the occasion. Later, the Visiting officer in the evening visited ITI Handwara, GMS Handwara, GBS Handwara and at the end of 1st day.
He Inaugurates women’s Market with the name Khadija Market at cost of 60 Lac.
