Kupwara, May 13:
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Kupwara on Wednesday.
He was here to participate in a mega padyatra organised under the ‘Nasha Mukt’ campaign.
The event was attended by a large number of students, officials, security personnel and members of the civil society. The main objective of this program was to promote a drug-free society and motivate the youth to stay away from drugs.
People from all over the district participated in this padyatra with great enthusiasm. The participants were holding placards and shouting slogans highlighting the importance of fighting the menace of drug addiction.
The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen awareness and community participation in the fight against drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
