Baramulla, May 12:
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participated in the “Nasha Mukti Abhiyan” padayatra organized in Baramulla today.
A large number of people participated on the occasion.
During the padyatra, people gave the message to the society to stay away from drugs. Adopt a healthy life through slogans like “Quit Nasha Jeevan, Jeevan Jodo”. The objective of the program was to protect the youth from the evils of drug abuse and spread awareness in the society.
In his address, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that drug addiction is a serious threat to the future of the society and especially the youth. He said that every section of the society will have to work together to make a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed to the youth to focus on sports, education and positive activities.
The event was enthusiastically attended by administrative officers, police department, students of educational institutions and local citizens.
