Ramban, July 26:
Another incident of landslide has been reported in Pernot area of Ramban district. It raises concerns about the stability of the already vulnerable area.
The latest incident has affected the Ramban-Gool-Sangaldan road. It causing traffic disruption and causing inconvenience to commuters.
A major landslide incident occurred on April 25, 2024, in the Pernot area, in which more than 58 houses were damaged or declared unsafe, and around 500 residents were evacuated to safer locations. The road connecting Ramban to Gool and Sangaldan was also badly affected.
Following the latest landslide incident that came to light today, the authorities are closely monitoring the situation. Motorists have been advised to avoid passing through the affected portion until the road is declared safe and the repair work is completed.
