Kavinder Gupta takes charge of Himachal Pradesh after Ladakh: President and PM Modi express gratitude to President Ram Nath Kovind

Jammu, March 6:
Kavinder Gupta expressed his gratitude to the President, the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister for appointing him as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

He said that this opportunity to serve the country is a matter of pride and great responsibility for him.
Gupta said that as Governor, he will discharge his duties with honesty, impartiality and dedication while upholding the dignity of the Constitution. He specially thanked Droupadi Murmu, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
66-year-old Kavinder Gupta, who had earlier served as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, resigned from the post on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary congratulated Gupta.

Under the new appointments, Vinai Kumar Saxena has been appointed as the next Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
