Jammu, February 15:
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday dismissed three government employees. These include a police constable, a teacher and a forest department employee. LG dismissed these employees under Article 311 (2) (c) of the Indian Constitution. The investigation found that they had links with terrorist organizations. This action was taken by the Lieutenant Governor a day after the security review meeting in which he directed a campaign against terrorists and their network.
Firdous Bhat, who became a constable in 2011, worked for the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization. He was arrested in May 2024 on charges of terrorism and is currently lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail.
Nisar Ahmad Khan joined the Forest Department in 1996 and was working for the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. He was involved in a major terrorist attack in 2000 and then incited violence in the valley in 2016.
Ashraf Bhatt who was appointed as a teacher in 2008 worked for Lashkar-e-Taiba and incited young students to terrorism. And he was arrested in 2022 and he is currently lodged in Reasi District Jail.
Security agencies labelled these employees as traitors and anti-nationals who participated in terrorist activities despite receiving salaries from the Indian state.
