Jammu, October 18:
The Jammu and Kashmir government has divided the departments among the ministers. This decision has been taken with the aim of making administrative work more effective.
Dy CM Surinder Kumar Chaudhary will have the responsibility of Public Works (R&B), Industry and Commerce, Mining, Labor and Employment, and Skill Development Department.
Sakina Masood (ITOO) has been given the responsibility of the departments of Health and Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare . Under her leadership, this department will set new standards in the field of education and health.
Javed Ahmed Rana will handle the departments of Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment, and Tribal Affairs. His job will be to give priority to water and environmental conservation.
Javid Ahmad Dar will be in charge of agriculture production, rural development and panchayati raj, co-operation and election related works . This department will prove to be important for rural development.
Satish Sharma will be in charge of food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, transport, science and technology, information technology, youth services and sports and ARI and training departments. Whereas, other departments will remain with the Chief Minister.
