Jammu, March 29:
Jawan Jaswant Singh of village Laundi, who went missing during an encounter with terrorists in Ambe Nala in Sufan of Juthana, also became a martyr. Till late evening, the family was hopeful that he would be alive and return. The family members were not ready to believe the news of his martyrdom. The people of the village are praying for his safe return. Local people said that the family has so far received this information only on social media and at the local level.
Jaswant Singh’s father Angrez Singh said, we came to know through some local people and social media that my son has been martyred in the encounter, but when we contacted the officials over the phone, no one gave a clear answer. Sometimes it is said that he is missing, and sometimes it is told that he has been taken to Jammu. Jabbar Singh, a relative of the family, said, the family has not received any clear information yet. The whole family is confused. No clear answer has been received from the officials either. In such a situation, the family is hopeful of his safe return.
