Jammu, October 10:
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate 75 different structures across the country on October 12. This includes eight strategically important bridges in Jammu division. The special thing is that all these bridges have been constructed by BRO (Border Roads Organisation) before the deadline.
The inauguration of these bridges holds special significance in the Chenab Valley region of Jammu and Kashmir. These bridges connect the Jammu-Srinagar Highway with Dhar Road. Additionally, these bridges are also located on the Bani-Bhaderwah road, which provides an alternate route from the Kathua area. The structures to be inaugurated include four major bridges in the Jammu Parliamentary Constituency: Korga, Sanu, Chenani, and Darsu. In addition, Sewa Do, Byalu, Khudwa, and Swan bridges in Udhampur will also be inaugurated.
According to the information, the Defence Minister will e-inaugurate these bridges. On this occasion, MP Jugal Kishore and Dr. Jitendra Singh will also be present and will dedicate them to the public. It is noteworthy that after the end of the Model Code of Conduct in Jammu and Kashmir, these will be the first development works that are being dedicated to the public.
