Holi celebration in Jammu

Jammu, March 25:

Holi festival was celebrated with great pomp in Jammu. Groups of youth applied colors to each other and went out for a walk. At the same time, women also celebrated the festival of Holi with great enthusiasm. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha wished the people of the state on the festival of Holi. In one of his messages, he said that Holi is the harbinger of hope, joy and happiness. The myriad colors of this festival reflect our rich cultural diversity, strengthen brotherhood and create a feeling of unity and harmony.

BSF soldiers celebrated Holi.

BSF soldiers and officers played Holi with enthusiasm at the Octroi post on India-Pakistan border in RS Pura sector. The soldiers and officers congratulated each other on the festival by applying colors. At the same time, there was a lot of enthusiasm about the festival of colors among the women officers and soldiers. The youth were seen dancing to Holi songs throughout the day.

The BSF officer posted at Octroi post said that even though they are not with their families, the entire country is their family. Every person in the country is a part of his family. The women officers and constables present on the border also applied gulal to each other. 

A woman officer said that he is posted at the country’s border, hundreds of kilometers away from his home, and is performing his duty. The way the festival of Holi was celebrated today. It seemed to him that he was celebrating the festival with his family members only. During this, soldiers and officers danced on Holi songs in their state language.

Army soldiers flew Gulal in Akhnoor sector.

Army soldiers deployed on the India-Pakistan border celebrated the festival of Holi in Akhnoor sector. This time, 16 Corps Commander Lieutenant General Naveen Sachdeva had especially come to celebrate Holi among the soldiers. Military officers and soldiers wished each other Happy Holi by applying colors and feeding sweets.

Military officials said that the effort is to ensure that the soldiers sitting thousands of kilometers away from their homes do not feel the absence of home and family. The military officer encouraged the soldiers and said that due to the strict security of the army, our countrymen celebrate all the festivals safely today. During this, all the soldiers celebrated Holi by dancing to patriotic songs.
