Security has been further strengthened in Poonch district in view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made especially in the upper and sensitive areas of Mandi tehsil.
In this sequence, DSP Operations Poonch Azhar Amin along with the police force visited the remote and strategically important areas of Mandi.
He conducted a detailed inspection of the security arrangements. During the visit, the DSP reviewed the prevailing security situation. He took stock of the deployment of police and directed the personnel on duty to ensure effective surveillance and patrolling in the area.
DSP Azhar Amin also met local residents and community representatives. He appealed to the people to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
