For Amarnath Yatra, tight security arrangements have been made at railway stations as well. In this sequence, a mock drill was conducted at Bari Brahmana railway station to test the security arrangements. Jammu and Kashmir Police, Railway Protection Force, Army, paramilitary forces and other agencies actively participated in it.
Bari Brahmana railway station falls in the sensitive category. The security agency tested its preparedness by conducting a mock drill for about 45 minutes. It also tested how to respond in a coordinated manner during an emergency. This mock drill is considered extremely important in view of the Amarnath Yatra. During this, the bomb disposal squad and dog squad teams searched the platform and station premises. Security checks were conducted in the buildings adjoining the station and the railway warehouse.
